Another Notan Class

As a fund raiser for my church First Unitarian

I gave another Notan class. This is one of my

student's work, and I think it is fascinating.

This is one of the things that

I was working on, using spirals.

These are small leftovers that I will

attach to greeting cards.


These are two test pieces for my Kanji
quilt for my nephew and his wife.
It is channel quilted, but it is hard to see.
THey are approx. 12x12

Well, I am back. My foot is still not healed, and I am in a walking boot, which is the one that I had first, but without the pressure bandage. Still hurts, but it is better, I guess.

I had an ARTFUL Sunday at my house today. 5 friends (two artists and three non artists) all joined me for a pot luck lunch and ART!. We worked on NOTAN ( or as Jane Dunnewold calls them Expanded Squares). We had a great time and everyone (even the non-artists) came up with some fantastic designs!
